Children of the Prophets

“Teach a youth about the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”  Proverbs 22:6

This is a down-to-earth ministry for the development of Godly leaders among young men and women of all races and ethnic experiences for the future of all mankind.

Young people who possess a desire to commit their lives to the struggle to achieve their highest potential, need apply. Our world is increasingly competitive and the success and safety of our families and communities, both locally and globally, depends upon the character and training of the upcoming generations.

Areas of personal growth encouraged by this ministry include the following:

Spiritual [pursuing in-depth Bible knowledge, regular and effective prayer, and deeply spiritual worship]

Educational [instructing toward successful completion of K-12 as well as assisting in college preparation]

Vocational [searching for opportunities to receive training and experience in multiple and varied job skills]

Cultural [seeking venues for exposure to a wider variety of experiences across lines of culture and ethnicity]

Recreational [planning and engaging in enjoyable activities that promote unity and teamwork along with social interaction]

Sacrificial [discovering needs for performing acts of service in our community, area, and beyond]

Evangelical [preparing and planning for proclaiming the witness of the true good news of Jesus Christ in the world]

Greetings!

Well another wonderful fall Feast Season has passed and we have resumed our studies. I am pleased to announce that we are continuing to add value to our studies to prepare the children for a productive well balanced life. We have added agricultural science, with an emphasis on regenerative agricultural practices and permaculture. We are also offering sign language classes as well! We continue to ask for prayer as we endeavor to offer these children a first class education centered on Bible based principles. Down below are some pics of class, including our new project of starting a compost bin that will provide soil for our planned raised bed gardens in the spring.

Greetings!

A lot of great things have been going on with The Children Of The Prophets! Has always we place a great emphasis on real life experiences as well as classroom experiences. Holding true to this we recently traveled from Montgomery, AL to the southern most tip of the United States, Key West Florida. Along the way we stopped off at several locations along the way including Saint Pete, FL for Sabbath services and a pot luck meal with church family that we hadn’t seen in quite some time. We topped off our journey with a sail boat ride that took us only 70 miles from Cuba. It was an adventure!

Greetings!

Since we last updated, we have taken on several new students and continue to progress with the work that Abba has given us! February was an action packed month. On top of academic studies, it was also time for our quarterly Road Scholars trip. We adventured to Asheville, North Carolina and stopped at many historical points along the way, such as Horseshoe Bend (in Alabama) and Brasstown Bald Which is the highest elevation in Georgia at 4,784 feet above sea level. We also traveled up and down the Blue Ridge Parkway and stopped to admire God’s beautiful workmanship. On the Sabbath we visited with the “Fellowship of the Word” congregation in Hendersonville and enjoyed a very delicious potluck meal. The following week they were able to travel to a local congregation member’s property to learn about organic poultry production, permaculture, and sustainable food production practices. Until next time, your prayers are appreciated!

Shalom!

I would just like to thank everyone for the prayers and financial support that we have received leading up to the 2022 academic year. It has allowed us the ability to obtain the supplies needed and to purchase Christian based curriculum that support our goal of providing the students with an education that is God centered.

For the month of January we completed a biblical study of the Fruit of the Spirit. As a reward for completing the study and memorizing them all the students enjoyed a lunch of foot long beef hotdogs! Our biblical study for February is on the example of prayer left to us by our Messiah in Matthew 6: 9-13.

This month we are planning a trip to North Carolina to visit the Appalachian mountains. Please keep us in you prayers for safety and smooth travels.

We currently have 13 students and have recently had 2 more apply. Please continue to pray for the staff to have the wisdom of King Solomon as we lead these children in accomplishing their educational and spiritual goals. If you feel moved to bless this ministry or would like more information on it, please feel free to contact me! childrenoftheprophets@outlook.com

Shalom!

Cops Kickoff “Texas Style”

1/1/2022

The Children of the Prophets headed West to kick off the upcoming 2022 school year. We had a ton of fun roughing it at the KOA campground in beautiful San Antonio, Texas. Throughout our adventure we enjoyed the hospitality and spiritual fellowship provided by the local brethren. Even though we had quite a bit of wet weather, we didn’t let that get us down! We took every opportunity to soak up the sights and visit historical monuments like the Alamo. The group had a very blessed enjoyable trip, and we are thankful for the support and prayers along the way!
