  1. WHO ARE THE CHILDREN OF THE PROPHETS?
We are the heirs of the promises given to God’s servants in all times of this age of mankind’s dominion over the earth. We are the chosen of God following in the way revealed through Abel, Enoch, and Noah. We are tasked to keep building communities of faith like those at Bethel and Jericho in the days of Elijah and Elisha (II Kings 2-4), and the church built by Jesus the Christ beginning in Jerusalem and then scattered to the ends of the earth. We are the participants in the ministry of Elijah and John the Baptist who in the same spirit and power are proclaiming the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ boldly in all the earth today. We are ambassadors for the returning kingdom of God commissioned with a ministry of reconciliation to those whose eyes and ears are being opened and whose minds and hearts are willing to receive the outpouring of God’s spiritual love. No one can choose for themselves to become a child of the prophets because this is a calling from the Most High God. Are you being called to live above the mundane pursuits and concerns of this world? Are you willing to forsake all in order to follow the Lord and Messiah? Are you interested in being a “fisher of men” in the great tradition of all the disciples of Jesus? If so, then this is your doorway to producing the good and abundant fruit of a faithful servant of Jesus Christ!

“Teach a youth about the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

This is truly a down-to-earth ministry for the development of God’s leadership among youths of all genders, races, and ethnic experiences: for the future of all mankind. Only young people who possess the willingness to commit their lives to the struggle to achieve their highest potential, need apply. Our world is increasingly competitive and the success and safety of our families and communities, both locally and globally, depends upon the character and training of the upcoming generations. Areas of personal growth encouraged by this ministry include the following:

Spiritual [pursuing in-depth Bible knowledge, regular and effective prayer, and deeply spiritual worship]

Educational [instructing toward successful completion of K-12 as well as assisting in college preparation]

Vocational [searching for opportunities to receive training and experience in multiple and varied job skills]

Cultural [seeking venues for exposure to a wider variety of experiences across lines of culture and ethnicity]

Recreational [planning and engaging in enjoyable activities that promote unity and teamwork along with social interaction]

Sacrificial [discovering needs for performing acts of service in our community, area, and beyond]

Evangelical [preparing and planning for proclaiming the witness of the true good news of Jesus Christ in the world]

  3. We are the . . . “Sons of God!”

Our most earnest desire should be to personally hear these words from our heavenly Father: “This is My beloved son, in whom I am well pleased!” Key to achieving this goal; however, is a transformation into the spiritually righteous and boldly confident men and boys that our families need; our churches need; and our world desperately needs. Therefore, this is a ministry offering a regular Wednesday evening gathering for men and boys over a designated telephone conference line [1-712-770-4700 Code 112165 #]. It is our hope that fathers will participate with their sons and mature men will mentor the younger men in the development of real Christian masculinity and camaraderie. Each gathering will include offering up praises, prayers, scripture memory, and experiences in personal presentation and expression of the Word of God along with the edification and exhortation of elders who are serving in the work of the living God.

The scheduled dates for 2017 are as follows: Wednesdays @ 6:30 p.m. (Central) July ; August; September ; October ; November ; December.

  4. You are invited . . . Sons of God!

A few words from the living and glorified Word of God . . .
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, ‘Abba, Father.’ The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children then heirs–heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer; with Him, that we may also be glorified together.” Romans 8:14-17

Therefore, this is a totally non-sectarian ministry offering a regular Wednesday evening gathering for men and boys over a designated telephone conference line. It is our hope that fathers will participate with their sons and mature men will mentor the younger men in the development of real Christian masculinity and camaraderie. Each gathering will include offering up praises, prayers, scripture memory, and experience in public speaking along with the edification and exhortation of elders who are serving in the work of the living God.

The types of speaking that will be assigned are these:
    (1) Personal Experience; (2) Christian Life Lesson; (3) Family Life Lesson; (4) World Event Coverage; (5) Doctrinal Explanation; (6) Bible Narrative; and (7) Brotherly Exhortation.

[Note: Each presentation should be about five minutes in duration.]

The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them.” Isaiah 11:6

    Subject: The Fear of God
There was very little fear of God in the first century world when the Church was founded by Jesus Christ and His apostles. The believers had to be taught that the fear of men that had been instilled in them from childhood had to be replaced by a deep awareness of the righteousness and holiness of the great living God. One such painful lesson involved the untimely deaths of Ananias and Saphira. This couple was called and baptized into the Church at Jerusalem where the Spirit led many to give all they had to help in advancing the work of the gospel. Apparently the pressure in their own minds and hearts to appear to be following the example of their neighbors became more than Ananias and his wife could bear. So they sold a piece of property they owned. The problem was that they lied to the Holy Spirit in Peter, which means they lied to God, about giving everything to serve His people. You can fool people much of the time, but you cannot fool God any of the time!

Read these portions of scripture and meditate on them deeply . . . Acts 4:32 to 5:16; Matthew 19:16-30; Acts 8:4-25; Matthew 6:19-34; and Hebrews 12:1-29.

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.” Proverbs 1:7

  7. Our Morning Sacrifice
    Sunday – Friday / 6:00 a.m.

Following each reading (5 minutes or less) all the participants are invited and encouraged to offer up prayers of thanks and praise to our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ and to bring specific needs to the attention of those present inviting all to united prayer for God’s comfort and deliverance.

The list of needs on the Prayer page of http://www.haggai114.net is a good source of current requests for intercession from the body of Christ.
